Turn the Page – A New Chapter Has Begun

by Justin Williams
turn-the-page

It has been 10 years since I began my journey in ministry.  I have done everything from Outreach Pastor, Worship Pastor, Youth Pastor, Associate Pastor, Interim Pastor, and now Pastor/Church Planter.  Each of these position all had one thing in common, and that was to love and serve the people around me.  I decided three years ago that I would start a ministry blog to chart the direction that God was leading in my life.  So I created JustinsRefuge.com.  The reasoning behind the name was that I wanted it to be a place where I could freely share my ideas, insights, and emotions concerning ministry.  I also had a youth group called the Refuge, and I knew I would post articles concerning my experience there.  I even envisioned planting a church someday called the Refuge.  I presented a presentation before the national mission board, and received good feedback, but God had different things in store.

Over the past four months, my vision has really started to shift from providing refuge from the world to engaging the world.  For too long Christians have been hiding in the comfort of their lofty steeples. It is time to get back to the core of the cross, and infiltrate our communities and workplaces in authentic, passionate, spirit-filled ways.  That is why I have created JustinWilliams.org.  Refuge is only for a season, but there comes a time when you have to stand up against all odds for the cause of Christ, and begin to impact the lives of those around us.  It is time to turn the page, and begin a new chapter in my life and ministry.  I pray that over the coming years God will continue to pour new vision and passion into my life like I have never seen before.  JustinWilliams.org will be the catalyst for brainstorming and new ideas that will continue to challenge the way we do ministry.  Join me on this journey and in this new chapter of ministry by subscribing to this blog.  SUBSCRIBE!!
