This last Sunday was my last week with Brand New Church Huntsville.  It was a bitter-sweet moment.  On one hand I am super excited about what God will use me for next, and on the other hand I am really going to miss those guys.  Pastor Shannon O’dell is one of today’s greatest visionaries, and I will forever consider him to be my pastor.  I hope and pray that the relationship I have with him will be one that will continue no matter where I am serving.   Also, I can’t say enough about the people of BNC Huntsville.  They are some of the most accepting and loving folks I have ever worked with.  I can’t wait to see who God raises up to take this campus to the next level.

With all that being said, there is a sense of fear with the unknown.  I am exploring an uncharted territory in my life.  I have never left a ministry without having an idea of what I would do next.  Also, my wife feels this would be the perfect time to take a couple of months off and have a sabbatical.  The word sabbatical doesn’t even fit in my dictionary, but I can definitely see the need for a period of time to be refreshed and ministered to.  I have been serving in ministry non-stop for over ten years now, and I couldn’t imagine doing anything else.  A pastor friend of mine once said…

“If there is anything else you could do besides ministry, do it.  If not serve the place you are called whole heartedly.”

I think only time will tell, and as we begin to prayerfully explore new opportunities God will bring the clarity.  In the mean time, please be praying for me and my family.  We have a heart for churches in need who are willing to do what it takes to reach the lost. Pray God opens doors.

I am available for preaching and worship opportunities.  I have served in preaching and teaching ministry roles for over 10 years, and have led praise and worship for over five years.  Please feel free to contact me for any inquires.  (Ordained and Seminary/Bible College Degree)
