I would consider my library a pretty good size for being young in ministry, but here are some of my favorite books and authors: The Bible, Sun Stand Still, Death by Love, Radical Reformission, Transforming Church In Rural America, Change Your Church for Good, Vintage Church, Breakout Church, Wild at Heart, Communicating for a Change, Wild Goose Chase, Purpose Driven Life/Church, What In the World Is Going On, Jesus Freak 1 & 2, Billy The Untold Story, Standing On the Promises, One Month To Live, Man of God, Power of Prayer, Can You Handle the Truth?, Wasted, Against All Odds, and books from authors listed under heroes. Visit My Library for recommended reading.

Jesus Christ, Apostle Paul, David Alderson, Adrian Rogers, W.A. Criswell, Charles Spurgeon, J. Vernon McGee, Andy Stanley, Mark Driscoll, Shannon O’dell, Brandon Cox, Danny Kirk, Grady Higgs, Paul Baloche, Church Planters, Youth Pastors, Chuck Norris, B.B. King, and My Dad.

My favorite would have to be football: Arkansas Razorbacks, Dallas Cowboys, & Kansas City Chiefs, but I also enjoy baseball: Arkansas Naturals, St. Louis Cardinals, & Kansas City Royals. I haven’t been much of a basketball fan since the Michael Jordan, Larry Bird, and Charles Barkley era, but I might watch a College or Chicago Bulls game every now and then. I also am a Nascar fan, but I don’t have much time to watch the races anymore. Tony Stewart #14 is my favorite Driver. My son loves it, and his favorite is Jeff Gordin #24. (Don’t ask me why) The sport that I am most involved with is Ultimate Fighting. Due to my love for the martial arts I can’t help but be drawn to it. I really enjoy watching fighters like Rich Franklin and Matt Hughes due to their testimonies, but I also like watching Bj Penn, Randy Coutoure, Churck Lidell, and many others.

“I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me.” -Apostle Paul

“Doubt and the inability to overcome fear kills more vision than failure ever will.” – Me

“Courage is resistance to fear, mastery of fear, not absence of fear.” – Mark Twain

“I put no stock in religion. By the word religion I have seen the lunacy of fanatics of every denomination be called the Will of God. I have seen too much religion in the eyes of too many men and murderers. Holiness is in right action, and courage on behalf of those who cannot defend themselves, and goodness. What God desires is the heart and mind, and what you decide to do every day will make you a good man… or not.” – Hospitaller

“Anytime you have faith there is going to be some doubt, because if you erase doubt you have certainty, and if you have certainty then there is no faith. Faith requires risk.” – Ed Young Jr.

“Where there is no sacrifice, there can be no victory.” – Archibal Witwicky

“Do, or do not. There is no try.” – Master Yoda

“Do not pray for an easy life, pray for the strength to endure a difficult one” – Bruce Lee

“If you STAY HUMBLE & STAY HUNGRY there is NOTHING God cannot do in you & thru you. – Mark Batterson”

“Everything Rises and Falls on Leadership” – John Maxwell

“My God is BIG enough for both.” – Steven Furtick

“We are addicted to negativity, because we can control the outcome. Positivity is putting faith in God, and leaving the results up to him. Happiness is an attitude and an emotion while Joy is a choice. Positivity is a choice! Be passionate and positive, because it produces life change.” – Shannon O’dell

“Since when did it become safe to follow Christ? Maybe it’s time to come out of the cage and live dangerously for the cause of Christ.” – Mark Batterson

“Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery, but today is a gift. That is why it is called the “present.” – Oogway

“One often meets his destiny on the road he takes to avoid it.” – Oogway

“Spiritual Complacency leads to the loss of passion for God, resulting in the forfeiture of protection, provision, and joy.” (Paraphrase From Ronnie Floyd’s Book “Our Last Great Hope”)

“Insecurity is derived from a lack of identity, and if your identity is tied to your role as pastor (or your career) you are spiritually sick.” – Dr. Claude Thomas

The HOLINESS of God describes both the majesty (imposing grandeur) of God and the purity of God and the moral perfection of His nature. God is Holy, Sovereign, and Good.

“Dogs don’t bark at parked cars.” – Ken Blackwell

“He must increase, but I must decrease.” – Apostle John (3:30)

My favorite thing to do of all is spend time in the Word of God and with my family. I love playing and cuddling with my son & daughter, as well as spending quality one on one time with my wife. Family time is always the best. Make your family a top priority in your life.
